Big Sur.

Today we woke up at 05:56, only because the previous occupants of our room must have set the bedside alarm clock for that time. Hazel immediately said "where are we?" which was understandable as it was our 9th accommodation.
We had a walk along Moonstone Beach before breakfast. We then reluctantly left Moonstone Landing to drive to Pacific Grove Monterey along the Big Sur.

Far too long was spaent watching the Elephant Seals, some sunbathing on he beach while others fought. We then spotted this little critter watching us.

We stopped at many points along the beautifully ruged coastline including  McWay Falls then had lunch on Pfeiffer Beach. Bixby Creek Bridge was also an impressive stop.

Finally we had a little time to look around the quaint town of Carmel, Clint Eastwood was once the towns mayor. Then on to Pacific Grove for our final nights.

  1. 05:56... Sounds like someone with tighter timekeeping than you!

I read something about Carmel yesterday. It was in a top ten list of fairytale-like places. It looks like fantasyland at Disney. I looked at this list because I saw Neuschwanstein castle on where I went once!

    1. Alarm time was a little random.
Would have spent more time wandering around Carmel but wanted to make it to next accommodation before dark. That's the only trouble this time of year it gets dark a bit early.
Just had breakfast watching boats pass from our balcony and shortly heading down to Monterey Aquarium.
